A cassette shop’s master tape was rewound under the wrong label in 1996.
REPORT: Chembur, 1996 — A cassette shop found its master tape rewound under the wrong label before a local singer arrived. The owner, sound assistant, delivery rider and customer crossed the listening booth, counter, stock shelf and back room with a cassette case, label roll, rewind key and order pad. One of their signed accounts fails the tally. The desk adds one line for the record: the false claim in the signed statements came from the very person this enquiry wants.
