What Jasoos needs to run a fair mystery, what remains optional, and how to ask for control of your information.

The clean copy

You can play Jasoos as a guest. We use a guest identity and gameplay records to keep a case fair and remember progress. Sign-in, analytics, and advertising are optional or consent-based where offered. We do not sell personal information.

PLAIN TALK

We do not need your name, email, or payment card to open a case file. If you choose to sign in or buy something, the information needed for that choice is handled separately.

Information on the file

Guest game identity
A randomly generated identifier associates attempts, scores, hints, and basic profile preferences with the same player. It is not a public name.
Optional account information
If sign-in is enabled and you choose Google or Facebook, the authentication service receives the account information needed to sign you in, such as the provider account ID, name, email, and profile image made available by that provider.
Game and device context
We process case attempts, scores, hints, locale, and technical records such as session, security, and rate-limit data needed to run and protect the service.
Purchase records
For a purchase, we keep the product, order or checkout reference, and fulfillment status. Card details are entered in Stripe Checkout and are not stored by Jasoos.
Consented measurement
After affirmative analytics consent, Google Analytics may receive limited usage information through measurement ID G-FVSN57YQ29. We do not send case solutions, payment card details, or free-text submissions to analytics.

Why it is used

  • To deliver cases, save play progress, score attempts, and prevent abuse.
  • To provide optional sign-in and a profile when those features are enabled.
  • To complete a purchase, provide what you bought, handle refunds, and meet accounting obligations.
  • To understand whether the game is clear and fair, only when you have accepted analytics.
  • To test clearly described product changes using feature flags or experiments. Experiments are not used to turn off wellbeing guardrails.

Your choices

You can play without creating an account. You can decline analytics and advertising consent; core play should remain available. You may ask us to access, correct, export, or delete personal information linked to your guest identity or account. To protect players, we may ask for enough information to verify the request before acting on it.

Email support@jasoos.me with the subject “Privacy request.” Tell us whether you want an export, correction, deletion, or help identifying your guest record. We will explain any information we need and any legal exception that applies.

Retention

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose above. Our current operating targets are 30 days for transient logs and rate-limit records, 13 months for consented analytics, and until deletion is requested for guest or account gameplay records. Authentication sessions expire and may be retained for up to 30 additional days. Purchase event records may be kept for the accounting period required by law.

Backups are maintained on a separate encrypted rotation and disappear when that rotation expires. A deletion request is applied to active systems and scheduled backup expiry; it may not remove a record from every backup immediately. We will tell you if we must retain something for a legal claim, fraud prevention, or accounting duty.

Partners and sharing

We use service providers only to operate the game: Google Analytics for accepted measurement, Google or Facebook when you choose their sign-in, and Stripe for checkout and payment processing. Ads and analytics are consent-gated. Advertising may be unavailable in some versions or regions. We do not share personal information for another company’s independent marketing.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect Jasoos or players, or as part of a business transfer. If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date and give notice appropriate to the change.
